An Enriched Learning Environment

Francis W. Parker, Montessori School 56, strives to create an enriched environment so children are inspired to reach their highest potential using the Montessori philosophy of education. This fosters a strong sense of community, and respect for self, others, and the environment, which builds a strong academic foundation for a lifetime of learning.

Mission Statement

We the staff, students, families and community of IPS Francis W. Parker, Montessori School #56, aspire to provide our students with an exemplary education.  Our students will have the tools they need to value the diversity of others, respect the world in which they live, and have the skills they need to make good decisions.

Live United at FWP 56

The United Way's Read UP Program is an important partner with Francis W. Parker, Montessori 56.  Volunteer tutors will begin their weekly visits in October to spend their lunch hours reading with student partners.  United Way's recent documentary that aired on WFYI featured FWP 56 student partners of the Read UP program.  A production crew visited our library and taped an interview that was used in their documentary.  If your interested in volunteering to work with a 4th grade student at school, visit United Way's web site to register.

Thank you, IU School of Medicine!
